Ukraine Mission with Singing Men of Texas

GO WITH US TO UKRAINE, THE BLACK SEA, AND YALTA!

The amazing response of Ukrainian people to the Singing Men of Texas concerts in October, 2010 caused a dual reaction: The choir wanted to go back to Ukraine as soon as possible and the pastors of Ukraine pleaded with them to return.  Out of this calling to return came a bold vision:  Singing Men of Texas choirs plan to sweep Ukraine's 28 regions with the Good News of Christ's Gospel through song and sermon. 

Wheels immediately started turning to make this vision reality.  First, preparation began for a contemporary group to go by bus to 7 regions in Western Ukraine in September, 2012.  Next, Singing Men of North Central Texas commited to go in April, 2012 to 7 cities in the South of Ukraine and in Crimea.  Finally, the Singing Men of Texas combined choirs will go on mission to 6 cities along the Dnieper River in September, 2012.  At the end of these three missions there will be only 6 regions of Ukraine where Singing Men of Texas have not gone to share the love of Christ. 

There are two major factors in planning that make this mission unique: 

1. Everyone on the team will have a vital role.  There are four ministry teams that will work on separate assignments making the concerts and evangelism more effective.  For details click on "Assignments". 

2. Both choirs have chartered the Viking River cruise ship Lomonosov for housing and transportation while in Ukraine.  The ship will change ports at night so that ministry time is maximized, allowing the team to accomplish 15 days ministry in 10 days time.  See proposed itineraries for details.
